What are the advantages of Kid Inventor Kit compared with other electronics educational products? TOP
The advantages of Kid Inventor Electronics Kit are: FUN, EASY, Straightforward, and Guaranteed WORKS. Unlike other products, Kid Inventor Electronics Kit is not a boring science lab. It's a fun toy! Of cause, you can also do some electrical and electronics experiments with it. The snap-connection method makes the projects become Fool-Prove, easy to changes and free from the traditional wire-connection trouble-shooting. Just snap in and have fun.

What are the specials in the projects? TOP
Unlike some other educational toys, this toy not only focus on the basic electricity and electronics, but also focus on practical automatic control methods, such as manual, light, magnetic, sound, water, vibration, motor, and radio remote. We use similar circuits with different control methods to make different projects, or use different circuits to make similar project to stimulate youngster's imagination.

Do kids have to have electronics knowledge to play? TOP
No. You can play with it without any electrical knowledge. But you certainly will get some knowledge after you played varieties of projects.

What is the expect result after a kid finished majority of projects on the manual? TOP
It provides experience with basic electronics and enhances their interest, creativity, and confidence. Let kids know the basic and circuit component symbols. Help them understand the science classes and perform school projects. Your kid may be a future Kid Inventor!

Can these kits been used in classroom? TOP
Yes. Kid Inventor Electronics Kits are perfect for school tech projects and science camps. Kid Inventor supports a lot of schools, science camp, museum, and after-school programs. We provide discounted prices and tech supports to educators.

What should I do if I lost or damaged certain parts? TOP
Simply order from "Spare Parts" at our web site to get spare parts.

What is the power source of this toy? TOP
It only needs two to four AA batteries, 3 to 6VDC, to operate. Please NEVER use any other power source!

Can I use my projects for my home electronics applications? TOP

No. The projects in the manual are for playing and learning. They are not designed for consumer products, such as the doorbell and burglar alarm. Please do not use any extension wires or other components beyond this kit!

Can I create any circuits I want with this kit? TOP

No. This kit has certain electrical value designed and may not work for some wild creations. Your creation must follow with the Instruction Book.  If you want to understand more detail about electronics theory, please refer to an electronics textbook.

I completed my project, but it does not work. What should I do? TOP

After you finish the assembly, do a final check before you turn on the power. Always use the switch to turn on or off the circuit based on the manual. If the circuit is not working, do not panic. Do troubleshooting as following:

-Did I miss something? Check your assembly against the diagram carefully.

-Are all snaps fully connected? Any rust or dirt on the snaps? Clean them if necessary.

- Are the batteries fresh? Always use new batteries.

-Has the bulb burned out? Bulb is easy to get from any hardware stores.

Manual Corrections and Clarifications for Electronics Kits

Manual 1-120, Project 14-16: The circuit drawing has a error: The connect point B should be the point C and the point C should be the B.

Manual 1-120, Project 5:  In this project, the bulb will not be bright because it acts as a resistor for the motor protection. Otherwise, the motor may burned out with too much power. If you put the Proj 5 in a dark place, you will see the bulb with a little light because the motor shares the current.

To avoid damage of the components, please be aware as following:

  1. Follow the instruction on manual.

  2. Please press on the snap button or plastic pad only, not the components.

  3. Please do not put any parts on the battery pad (it will cause circuit short and damaged the parts and battery). Please read the "Notice" on the 1st page of the manual.

  4. Please do not use 2 battery holders (6V, 4 batteries) for a single motor or single bulb circuit, which may damage the motor or bulb.

Motor Related Projects:

For For safe play, the speed of the mini DC motor in this kit is designed to turn slowly.  Turn on the switch for motor without the fan blade to see if it works.  The adult supervision for motor projects is highly recommended.
